Why I'm Running

Having lived much of my life in small towns, I understand our communities' needs: ensuring the longevity of family farms, relieving the property tax burden, decreasing the isolation of senior citizens, and delivering quality education opportunities for all students.  I will be your strong voice in Hartford as we build a community that is home to our families across the generations while retaining our unique culture.

Effective Advocate

With my Masters of Social Work and community organizing skills, I build relationships that accelerate progress on projects in our communities.  With my leadership, Granby Education Foundation grew both its donations and grant awards during the pandemic.  As a leader of the Kearns Community Center initiative, we created a plan to address the isolation of our seniors and to build a resource for our families while also removing a tax-burden from the town books.   Though ahead of our time, Hartford lawmakers saw the benefits and were supportive.   These are the type of issues I will address as your State Representative, not Washington's culture wars.

Community Involvement

I’ve been deeply engaged in the Granby community since moving here in 2008.  In those years of service I’ve come to know and respect the people of our community and look forward to advocating for rural towns on a larger stage.

Family Forward

My husband and I chose Granby 16 years ago in order to be near family and because of Granby's friendly reputation and good schools.  We raised and educated our two kids here, at Valley Pre-School and in Granby Public Schools through middle school, and are blessed to spend time with my parents.
